Q. "Do you pay me for me for my old computer?"

A. No. This program is for people or businesses who plan on throwing away their old computer(s) but do not want to harm our environment. If you fell your computer is worth money, there are many other outlets set up to sell used computers.

Q. "Are you a computer recycler?"

A. No. We do not recycle computers. We reuse computers and computer parts.

Q. "What do you do with all these old computers?"

A. Believe it or not, our network of hobby computer builders simply love to fix up old computers. They part out the computers and use the parts to build or repair other computers.

Q. "What about the information on my computer?"

A. We double format each hard drive. No one will ever see any of the information on your computer. If that is not good enough, we will pull the hard drive before we take your computer and give it to you. We also do not reuse any OEM operating systems.

Q. "I have a lot of computer stuff. How much do you want?"

A. All of it! As long as you provide us with one full computer to make it worth our drive out, we will take your monitor, keyboard, mouse, printers, scanners, and software CDs and books.

Q. "What if my old computer is broken or does not even turn on?"

A. That's just fine. Your computer could still be full of working parts that we can use.

Q. "I don't live in Northwest Indiana. Will you still pick up my computer?"

A. Maybe. It depends on what kind and how many computers you are getting rid of.

Q. "Can I claim this on my taxes as a donation?"

A. No. We do not consider ourselves to be a "not for profit" organization.
